About this experience

Mom-Mom’s Lavender’s Fall Festival is centered around pumpkins and mums. This makes it a delightful and festive event. We have partnered with Paws 4 the Cause in Lexington and one half of all fees goes to Paws for the Cause to help animal rescue.Paws 4 the Cause  The fee to attend the festival is $10 per adult (16 and up), $7 per youth (6 to 15), and children under 6 are free. 

Here are items planned to make your time with us a memorable experience:

  1. Pumpkin Patch:
    • Weather permitting, we will set up a designated area with various types and sizes of pumpkins for people to choose from.
    • We will organize a pumpkin-picking contest or scavenger hunt for kids.
  1. Pumpkin Decorating Station:
    • We will provide paints, markers, stickers, and other crafting materials for people to decorate their pumpkins.
    • We will have a pumpkin decorating competition with different categories and prizes.
  1. Mum Garden:
    • We have 7 different color mums that provide a colorful display of mums in various shades and sizes.
    • We offer potted mums for sale, which allows attendees to take home a piece of the festival.
  1. Autumn Themed Photo Booth:
    • We are looking into setting up a photo booth with fall-themed props like hay bales, cornstalks, and rustic frames.
    • We encourage attendees to share their photos on social media with a festival hashtag.
  1. Live Music and Entertainment:
    • If we can find artists, we when arrange for live music featuring acoustic or folk bands to enhance the autumn ambiance.
    • We are considering hiring local performers, such as a magician or storyteller, to entertain both children and adults.
  1. Food and Beverages:
    • We offer a variety of fall-themed food and drinks, such as pumpkin spice treats, caramel apples, hot apple cider, and pumpkin-flavored goodies.
    • We partner with local vendors or food trucks to provide a diverse range of options.
  1. Hayrides:
    • We will have hayrides through scenic areas, that provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience for festival-goers.
  1. Craft and Vendor Market:
    • We have local artisans and vendors featuring handmade crafts, autumn decorations, and seasonal goods.
 

9. Educational Workshops:

    • We will offer workshops on pumpkin carving, fall flower arrangement, and gardening tips for mums.
    • If we can get them, we will have local experts to share their knowledge about autumn gardening and plant care.

10. Kid-Friendly Activities:

    • We will have activities like face painting, pumpkin painting, apple bobbing, and games suitable for children.
    • We have a storytelling corner with autumn-themed books for young readers in our store (books not for sale).

11. Bonfire and S'mores Station:

    • We will create a cozy area with a bonfire where attendees can gather and enjoy making s'mores.

Our goal is to engage with our community and to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that will contribute to making our festival truly memorable.
